Disneyland: The Happiest Place on Earth!

We went to Disneyland last Wednesday. I am always excited to go and this was my 5th time going. We woke up, got read and headed to Anaheim. We knew we were in trouble before we even got to the parking lot. The line of cars making the turn was backed up at least three lights!! We finally got parked and got on the tram.

Our first stop was California Adventure. We rushed over to Toy Story, one of the favorites for both the kids and adults. The line was soooo long but we killed some time by eating a Churro, yum yum. Chad and Keith looked up all the cheats online while waiting to maximize their points. I still beat Chad, lol.

After the ride, Chad went on the roller coaster alone (tell you why in another blog). Adelyn went on the carousel. The rest of us walked over to get in line for the new Ariel ride. I was excited for this one because she's one of my favorites. This line was enormous as well.

Ariel's eye was messed up at this part. It was freaky and it scared the kids.

One more ride to go, Soaring over California. Luckily we utilized the "baby passes" and were able to skip the majority of the line. Jen stayed with the kids while the rest of us went on the ride, then she and Chad went while Keith, Cindy and I ate french fries and onion rings.

On to Disneyland!! Our first stop was Pirates of the Caribbean. A family favorite for most of us. Adelyn rode on my lap and told us before the ride that she liked it but it scared her. She jumped at every cannon blast or gun shot and trembled the whole time. I felt so bad but she was happy when we got off. We ate some dinner and then Jen took JR home for the night. He'd been coming down with a cold and wanted held by pregnant mommy ALL day!

Cindy, Adelyn and I went to get in line for Small World while the guys went on a big ride. We were standing, waiting, and then the cancelled the ride. Apparently a belt broke on the ride and we were very disappointed. We still had time before a show at the castle so we got in line for Dumbo. Adelyn drove our elephant and we went up and down and up and down and up and down.....

We walked over to Cinderella's Castle and waited for the Christmas light show.

We had a good spot so we decided to just wait around for the fireworks show. They CANCELLED it!! "Due to unforeseen circumstances... the firework show will be cancelled tonight, sorry"

Whatever, we were so mad!

We left the castle and got a spot for Fantasmic. It started at 10pm, we were all tired. We watched the show and then left to go home.

It was a good day, I mean it's Disneyland. But this wasn't the awesome, wonderful, amazing experience that it usually is. I'm so thankful that we've all been a lot so no one was too disappointed.
