Today I had a scary experience...
I've heard other stories of women falling down while pregnant.
I see how it can happen... extra weight in the front has thrown off my balance several times so far.
BUT... I haven't actually fallen down yet.
Until today.
I wanted a brownie. I guess I was a little too excited for it.
I got up from our couch to walk to the kitchen.
My foot got caught in our blanket and it tripped me.
I stumbled, and tried so hard to stand back up.
I travelled, stumbling, about 15 feet into our office area.
The whole time I'm thinking to myself "don't hurt the baby!"
I finally lost it and fell.
I was able to catch myself on my hands and knees.... hard.
But my belly never touched the ground.
It shook me up, I had to sit on the ground for a minute to compose myself.
I almost started bawling, simply out of fear, but didn't.
He's fine, he's been kicking and moving like normal.
It just scared the crap out of his mama.
And my knee bruised instantly.
Oh scary. I fell down the stairs while pregnant with JR and holding Adelyn. Luckily I fell backwards and landed on my butt and slid instead of forward or we'd all be dead. I also fell off a step stool while pregnant with JR and while pregnant with Lena I fell forward and landed all the way on my whole side. I cried that to time. It's so scary
ReplyDeleteOh! I'm sorry! Those falls are scary. I fell while pregnant Reese on my way into work, I was holding a drink, and I was falling on my belly, so I had to turn quickly to fall on my side, so I did some crazy move... and my drink spilled all over me . When I walked in the door our 'security' guys ran to me and asked me if I was ok and if I needed to go home. They apparently saw it on the security cameras...a little embarrassing. I was so paranoid about the baby as well, I had to sit and make sure she was ok too!
