Rehearsal Dinner

We celebrated our upcoming wedding by going to the Creekside Restaurant in Seaside Oregon. There were about 25 people and we rented out a whole room. The waitress was amazing and was very patient with the large group and all the kids running around. This was the first real meeting between our separate families and I was very excited for my parents to meet Chad's wonderful family.

So excited to become husband and wife.

The kids had so much fun playing together. There was a little craziness but with a few rounds of Ring Around the Rosie all the kids calmed down a little. Alexa, my niece, fell in love with the baby and she carried her around most of the night. The other kids have fun climbing on the tables, that is until the table almost fell over. Everett had fun running around. Reese had fun playing with everyone, she really won over my family, they absolutely loved her.

One exciting, and scary, event... we were eating dinner when all of a sudden we heard a loud crash and tires squealing. We all looked out the window and saw a white SUV type car (found out it was a Jeep Cherokee) run a stop sign and slam into another SUV. Then the white car took off! My mother is a nurse and is trained to respond to things like this so she ran out to make sure there were no injuries. A house was just on the other side of the road and the people saw the whole thing too. The people were shaken up but all OK. Their car was totaled. The white car ended up pulling off the road a little way up the street and the people got out and ran away. When they crashed, the license plate fell off the car so it got handed over to the police.

Later that night, four minutes before midnight, I kissed Chad good night and he left. The next time I would see him would be at the end of the aisle.
